Team ROUH Featured on Stage with Bill Clinton at CGI U
Energy Systems student Harsh Engineer, ME’19, and his team ROUH were one of five teams featured in the lightning round of the 11th annual Clinton Global Initiate University (CGI U) annual meeting, which brings together over a thousand innovative student leaders from over a hundred countries to make Commitments to Action in CGI U’s five focus areas: Education, Environment and Climate Change, Peace and Human Rights, Poverty Alleviation, and Public Health.

HSyE Awarded $1.8M in AHRQ Funding to Combat Patient Misdiagnoses
James Benneyan, MIE Professor & Director of the Healthcare Systems Engineering Institute, was awarded a $1.8M R18 award from the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) in collaboration with Brigham and Women’s Hospital (lead) for a Patient Safety Learning Lab (PSLL) to develop real-time predictive/detection models of patient misdiagnoses.

New Engineering Academic Programs
Northeastern’s College of Engineering has added several new degree programs including a BS in Electrical Engineering and Music, a BS in Environmental Engineering and Health Sciences, a BS/JD in Mechanical Engineering and Law 3+3, a BS/MS in Environmental Engineering, and an MS in Robotics as well as minors in Healthcare Systems Operations and Robotics.
