With programs across the Global University System and having a main presence in the heart of the city of Boston the department is building a cohesive network for our students, faculty, and staff. The department network provides access to global experiential opportunities, regional hubs for high- and bio-tech interactions, top hospitals in the world, strong interconnected and intercultural communities for student organizations to engage with peers, and a network of faculty, alumni, and industry professionals. Our global presence strengthens our talent, programs, and innovation across each region. Northeastern is a campus in the middle of the historic city of Boston, with global campus network across the nation, and in the UK and Canada. All campuses are in hubs of innovation offering significant opportunity for experience, networking, and collaboration. MIE programs are in Boston, a hub of high tech and biotech organizations—global to start-ups—as well as academia, with the master’s in data analytics engineering also offered in Seattle, WA, and in Vancouver, Canada.

We have very active and award-winning student chapters of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers and the Institute of Industrial Engineers, among others.
