With programs across the Global University System and having a main presence in the heart of the city of Boston the department is building a cohesive network for our students, faculty, and staff. The department network provides access to global experiential opportunities, regional hubs for high- and bio-tech interactions, top hospitals in the world, strong interconnected and intercultural communities for student organizations to engage with peers, and a network of faculty, alumni, and industry professionals. Our global presence strengthens our talent, programs, and innovation across each region. Student Life
Mechanical and industrial engineering students enjoy a wide range of opportunities for academic and community involvement, from clubs and competitions in the college, university-wide and globally, to the many attractions of our world-class city. We have very active and award-winning student chapters of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers and the Institute of Industrial Engineers, among others.

This dedicated group of distinguished mechanical and industrial engineering professionals advise the department on matters related to research, development, curriculum, cooperative education, student organizations, and other important functions related to the department’s mission.
