Northeastern Team Wins Grand Prize at MassRobotics Competition
A Northeastern University student team won first place at the MassRobotics Form & Function Robotics Challenge, receiving the $10,000 grand prize. They competed against 16 teams from universities across the globe.

Zheng Selected as One of Most-Read Authors of Advanced Engineering Materials
MIE Associate Professor Yi Zheng’s paper “Biomass‐Based Materials for Sustainably Sourced Solar‐Driven Interfacial Steam Generation” which was published in Advanced Engineering Materials, was ranked within the top 10% of most-viewed papers published by the journal.

Graduate Student Team Wins First Place at National Geothermal Competition
At the 2024 Geothermal Collegiate Competition, organized by the Department of Energy, the Husky Heat Harvesters team of students from the Northeastern University Energy Systems Society won first place in the technical track and an honorable mention for the best video.
