2023 COE Outstanding Graduate Student Awards
Awardees of the College of Engineering Outstanding Graduate Teaching Award and the College of Engineering Outstanding Graduate Research Award were selected by faculty members of the students’ department based on the students’ exemplary record in the classroom or laboratory, the contributions made in mentoring peers, or significant accomplishments in furthering research and scholarship.

FY24 TIER 1 Research Development Award Recipients
Twelve COE faculty and affiliates were recipients of Northeastern’s FY24 TIER 1 Interdisciplinary Research Seed Grants provided by the Research Development department for 11 different projects.

2023 Outstanding Graduate Student Award in Experiential Learning
Saeed Alborzi, PhD’24, mechanical engineering, and Nathaniel Hanson, PhD’24, computer engineering, are recipients of the 2023 Outstanding Graduate Student Award in Experiential Learning, which recognizes graduate students who have shown an extraordinary capacity to integrate academics and professional work and establish themselves as emerging leaders in their field.

Undergrad COE students Eric Cardoza, Melanie Edmund, and Benoni Vainqueur were selected to receive Graduate Education for Minorities (GEM) PhD Engineering Fellowships, which offer master of science and PhD level students an outstanding opportunity and access to dozens of the top engineering and science firms and universities in the nation.
