MIE Associate Professor Hongli (Julie) Zhu was named a 2025 Highly Cited Researcher by Clarivate in the Cross-Field category, highlighting the broad interdisciplinary reach of her research spanning energy storage, advanced materials, solid-state batteries, operando neutron, and scalable manufacturing technologies. This prestigious global recognition identifies researchers whose work ranks in the top 1% of citations worldwide over the past decade, reflecting exceptional influence and lasting impact in their fields.
Clarivate’s Highly Cited Researchers list includes only 6,868 scholars from more than 1,200 institutions across 60 countries, representing approximately 1 in every 1,000 researchers worldwide. Northeastern’s strong performance this year includes a total of 12 faculty members on the list, with 2 of the 12 from the College of Engineering, tying Northeastern with Boston University among the top institutions in the region.
