New Faculty Spotlight: Xiu Liu
Xiu Liu joined the Mechanical and Industrial Engineering department in August 2026 as an Assistant Professor in Oakland, California.
He has a PhD in mechanical engineering from Carnegie Mellon University. His research interests include thermal radiation and infrared detection, nanoscale heat transfer, nanophotonics/plasmonics, optoelectronics, and metamaterials/metadevices.
