The Art and Science of Bones
Professor Sandra Shefelbine, bioengineering and mechanical and industrial engineering, and local artist Colleen Pearce joined forces for a discussion on their mutual admiration of bones at the Needham Public Library in “Collaboration of an Artist and a Scientist: Exploring Bones.” Pearce used images from the Shefelbine lab to create abstract paintings which were on display in the Friends of the Needham Public Library Gallery during June. The Hometown Weekly newspaper featured this event in “The Art and Science of Bones.”
