Capstone Group Wins 3rd

After winning “Most Impactful Project” in the Northeastern University capstone program, College of Engineering seniors Robert Eley, Margaret McGuire, and Paige Burke travelled to Philadelphia for the regional ASME Student Professional Development Conference (SPDC).

The group presented a poster on the project titled: Cancer Detection by Means of Mechanical Palpation. Their success continued as they were awarded third place at the highly competitive SPDC competition.

Aside from the poster competition, the mechanical engineering students were also exposed to many of the region’s other top student projects as well as many industry speakers.
